Research

Through our pioneering research and innovation, we are improving lives by giving patients the opportunity to shape and take part in clinical studies and evaluations.

Research across our hospitals

Our dedicated staff support research across a diverse range of clinical areas to deliver improved tests, treatments and devices for patients in Manchester and beyond.

Patients who take part in research help us understand what works, what does not, and how care can be better. Many of our studies become national guidance or new standards of care, and every study begins with people who agree to be part of it.

How to get involved

If you are interested in taking part in research, speak to the clinical team looking after you. They can tell you whether there is a study that may be suitable and explain what taking part would involve.
