Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC)

Checks, scans and tests closer to home, away from our major hospital sites and often with shorter waiting times.

About CDCs

CDCs provide a broad range of elective diagnostics (such as checks, scans and tests) away from our major hospital sites such as Manchester Royal Infirmary, Wythenshawe Hospital and North Manchester General Hospital. This not only reduces pressure on our hospitals, but provides our patients with access to diagnostic appointments with shorter waiting times and at times that are more convenient for them.

Getting here

Car parking, public transport and accessibility information is available from the Trust. If you are not sure where to go, please ask at the main reception when you arrive; staff can direct you to the department on your appointment letter.

Appointments and changes

For enquiries about hospital appointments please contact the department directly. The number will be on your appointment letter or card. You can also use MyMFT to check appointment details, letters and results online.

Support during your visit

Our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) can help with questions, concerns and compliments about the care you or your family receive. Chaplaincy and spiritual care is available at all of our sites.
